Japanese is a mysterious people!

こんにちは。
Hello.

あなたは日本人の不思議を幾つ知っているだろうか？
How many Japanese mysteries do you know?

不思議？
Mysteries?

きっと、あなたからすればどんな事も不思議で仕方ないだろう・・・。
Maybe, for you, everything going to be mysterious.

お店で商品についてたずねれば、余計なことまで親切に教えてくれる。
You ask clerk about goods at the shop, they teach you extra information.

街で道順を尋ねればご丁寧に教えてくれる・・・。
You ask somebody the way on the street, they teach you very kindly.

まぁ、中にはそうではない人もいるけれど。
Of course, some people don’t.

それはね、そもそも日本人特有に習慣で『おもてなし』という習慣が影響している。
Because of that they are very kind, it relate the custom “Omotenashi” which is peculiar to the Japanese people.

感謝の意味を込めて、あなたを大切に扱い、言葉だけでなく全てで感謝する。
To give you meaning thanks, they treat you preciously; they give you thanks with not only the words, but also the all of their bodies.

そう言う気持ちの表れだ。
That feeling shows to the “Omotenashi”.

それを与えられると本当にありがとうと感謝をしたくなる。
To get these things; you want to be thanks really.

そんなことされたらまた会いに行きたくなる。
You are treated preciously. That is why you want to go again and again.

『人に感謝を与える事で、自らの喜びを得る』
“To give somebody to thanks, get the pleasure by their selves.”

だからあなたも誰かに感謝を与えてみよう。
So let you give somebody thanks.

受け売りじゃなく、いやいやじゃなく。
Not a parrot, not an unwilling.

それこそが、日本人の心粋、
That is the spirit, ”Kokoroiki”, of Japanese,

『おもてなし』なのである。

おもてなし, “Omotenashii”

私も忘れていたよ、あなたに教える事で思い出すことができた。
I forgot the spirit until I taught you.

ありがとう, “Arigatou”

【ありがとう】は道を教えてもらったり、困っていて助かったり・・・。

“Arigatou” is the word when you are taught the way, helped in your hard time.

まぁとにかく感謝の言葉だね。
It is the word meaning to thanks.
